Paris Prep. My coach Hugo, and building a base...

Meet Hugo Van Der Broek

2 hour 12 min marathon runner, Dutch record holder and elite running coach. Infact going back in time, Hugo is the reason I first visited Kenya. After reading the booking ' Running with the Kenyans ' I contacted Hugo, spent some months talking to him about running and doing a bit of online coaching ( around my illnesses ) and then I decided to go see him - the rest, is history ( Runners Heal was born )

We have teamed up for my 7 marathon challenge, and have set a good 6 month time period before the first one in Paris - in which we aim to shave a mere 1 hour off my personal best and qualify for the next 6 marathons ( Majors ) in the ' good for age ' categories. Easy, right ?!

No. I'm heavy, have weak lungs following double pneumonia twice and pretty bad asthma. But I've got time on my side, and more importantly the will power - the thought of running those majors in the Runners Heal shirts is something words cannot describe.

So we start tomorrow. First of all it's a doctors visit to check on my lungs and immune system, but all being well, here's Hugo's first program for me with some notes ;
