Out of School Club

Out of school club...
During my visits across East Africa, one thing that always struck me was children eager to learn , but lack the tools.
By the time they get home from school, it’s getting dark. There is often no meal, but the thing that frustrates them is that they cannot see in order to do their homework or simply read a book. Children with ‘ wealthier ‘ parents may be able to afford a mini book light or have solar lighting.
Together with teachers and the community in Turkana, I am delighted to open our first homework club. On our own land, managed by volunteers, children will have a safe place to get some food after school and at the weekends, read new books and complete their homework.

Any support that you can offer will go to funding more facilities, food, salaries and general upkeep to kick start this exciting project
